EPISODE SUMMARY

The duel between Yusei and Jack is continued. Yusei has 3600 LP and Scar Warrior on the field. Jack also has 3600 LP and Ash Gash the Ash King on the field. Both of them have just left the tunnel, and Yusei is getting surprised by seeing a lot of D-Wheel wreak around. Jack smiles and says that Yusei's D-Wheel will become like this soon by the king's Feel. Yusei is very surprised especially by hearing the word, "King." He has heard about a man in the city who achieved 10 consecutive winnings in the riding duel tournament. The name of this fearful king is Jack Atlus.

Yusei has just been aware of his opponent's true identity. He more wonders what a city resident like Jack is doing on Satellite. While riding, Yusei is trying to avoid hitting and crashing D-Wheel wreaks on the ground. However, Jack doesn't care at all and crashes all wreaks on his way. Yusei doesn't understand how Jack could trample those D-Wheels, souls of riding duelists, like that.

3rd Turn - Jack

Jack calls for his turn and draws a card. He summons [Magic King Moon Star ~ Kijyutsuou Moon Star - 3/900/600: This card's Level become equal to another monster's Level on the field] to the field in attack position. Jack then tunes Ash Gash the Ash King into Magic King Moon Star. "The star of death that shines at the zenith of the heavens! Land to the earth and make judgment upon livings! Synchro Summon! Heavenly King Black Highlander!," he says and synchro summons [Heavenly King Black Highlander ~ Tenkeiou Black Highlander - 7/2800/2300: When this monster is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot Synchro Summon. Destroy 1 Equip Card equipped with your opponent's monster and inflict 400 damage to their Life Points] to the field in attack position.

Heavenly King Black Highlander

Yusei remembers that this is the monster that he met earlier (ride 5) and that tried to strike him. Next, Jack equips [Demon Shackle ~ Demon No Kase - Equipment Spell: The monster equipped with this card loses 700 ATK and its Level is decreased by 1] with Scar Warrior of Yusei, which can reduce its ATK by 700 and its level by 1. Scar Warrior thus has 1400 ATK (2100-700) and level 4 (5-1), surprising Yusei very much.

Jack orders Heavenly King Black Highlander to make judgment on Scar Warrior and declares its attack to strike Scar Warrior. Yusei's LP drops to 2200 (3600+1400-2800). Yusei feels such a pressure from powerful Feel of the king. It's strong enough to break some parts of his D-Wheel. Scar Warrior has a monster effect that it can't be destroyed by battle for 1 time, so it remains on the field. Yusei calls it an indomitable monster.

The strike appears to impact Sect on Yusei's back. Jack asks whether Yusei isn't going to duel better by throwing a "shackle" or Sect on his back. Yusei tells Jack that Sect isn't a shackle but his important friend. Jack gets very mad to hear such a call from Yusei. Friends are a tepid thing to him. For him, humans live on limit and lone. It's such a lonely thing like a duel. Friendship is such a lie to him, and the weak is merely a grouping expedient. Yusei is stunned by seeing Jack's negative attitude. Jack challenges Yusei to beat the king if Satellite people like him would like to prove that he is right.

4th Turn - Yusei

It's now Yusei's turn. He draws a card and gets a tuner monster, Quick-Span Knight. He smiles and thinks that this is possibility to defeat Jack's monster. Yusei plans to tune Quick-Span Knight with level 3 into Scar Warrior with level 4 to synchro summon Lightning Warrior with level 7 to the field. Along with the monster effect of Quick-Span Knight, when it is used in a synchro summon, the ATK of an opponent's monster or Heavenly King Black Highlander will decrease by 500.

Note: With the monster effect of Quick-Span Knight, the ATK of Heavenly King Black Highlander will become 2300 (2800-500), which is less than Lightning Warrior (2400 ATK).

Yusei follows his plan, summoning a tuner monster [Quick-Span Knight - 3/1000/800: When this card is used for a Synchro Summon, decrease the attack power of an opponent's monster by 500] to the field in attack position. As planned, he tunes Quick-Span Knight into Scar Warrior to synchro summon Lightning Warrior. Jack suddenly calls that it is too naive, shocking Yusei by activating the monster effect of Heavenly King Black Highlander, "Death Tropics!", that stops the synchro summon of Yusei's monsters.

Jack explains that Heavenly King Black Highlander is the ultimate monster that can manipulate the heaven. In front of his servant, a synchro summon can't be allowed. Yusei is pretty shocked by that any synchro summon is sealed. He can't do anything else, so he sets up 2 face-down cards and ends his turn.

5th Turn - Jack

A turn is back to Jack, and he draws a card. He smiles and equips [Cursed Shield ~ Norowareta Tate Cursed Shield - Equipment Spell: The Equipped monster loses 500 ATK. When this card is destroyed, inflict 800 damage] with Scar Warrior. This spell can reduce the ATK of Scar Warrior by 500 or to 900 (1400-500).

Yusei opens his face-down trap card [Grabble Chain - Continuous Trap: Switch the position of a monster you control. A monster your opponent controls has the same position as that monster], which can change the position of Scar Warrior to defense position and force Heavenly King Black Highlander to change its position along with it.

At this moment, Yusei looks around and sees that he has already left the draining lines. Just a little more, he will arrive the hospital. Thus, Yusei plans to hold on until that time. Jack is impressed by that Yusei is trying to protect his friend. It's a duel for protection. Anyway, friends are merely a shackle for him. Jack will teach Yusei at the end that a human who can take off such a shackle will be able to shine at the top.

As an answer, Jack plays [Stop Defense ~ Shubi Fuuji - Normal Spell: Select 1 of your opponent's monsters and switch it to Attack Position. If the card is face-down, flip it face-up. If the card has a flip effect, it is activated immediately] from hand to change the position of Scar Warrior back to attack mode. As a result of Grabble Chain, Heavenly King Black Highlander also changes its position to attack mode along with Scar Warrior.

Yusei realizes that he may have no other way out. Heavenly King Black Highlander has 2800 ATK and he has 2200 LP. Although he will receive damage from this battle, he still has 300 LP left (2200+900-2800).

"Too naive! Not enough! Too light!," Jack calls and chuckles. He activates the remaining effect of Heavenly King Black Highlander. It allows him to destroy 1 Equip card equipped with an opponent's monster and inflict 400 damage points to the opponent. Thus, Jack destroys Cursed Shield and Demon Shackle equipped with Scar Warrior and inflicts 800 damage (400*2) to Yusei. In addition to the effect of Cursed Shield, it can inflict further 800 damage to the opponent when destroyed. Yusei's LP eventually drops to 600 (2200-800-800) instantly.

Jack smiles evilly, calls Yusei a Satellite scum, and tells him to send his D-Wheel back to the iron wreak. Yusei hasn't given up yet and is about to open his last face-down card. However, his D-Wheel gets broken, and he is losing control over it. Sect is about to fall off his D-Wheel. Yusei decides to jump off to save him. Jack doesn't care what is happening. He calls that this should be the end, moves to battle phase, and declares an attack of Heavenly King Black Highlander, "Death Bora Slay!," to destroy Scar Warrior. This strike drops Yusei's LP to 0 (600+900-2800).

Duel End

Yusei can no longer see an outcome. He can save Sect, but both fall into the sea. Jack walks into Yusei's D-Wheel and picks up his face-down card that Yusei planned to activate earlier. It is [Synchro Reflector - Normal Trap: Activate only when a face-up Synchro Monster you control is selected as an attack target. Negate the attack and destroy 1 monster your opponent controls]. If this card had been activated completely, the attack of Heavenly King Black Highlander would have been negated and Heavenly King Black Highlander would have been destroyed. The game would have continued without a clear outcome yet. Yusei couldn't be called a true loser at the end of this point.

Jack is slightly stunned and looks over the sea where Yusei fell into. He throws the card and walks away without care.

Note: The concept of this episode is at the title, "Shackle" or "Kase," which is variously used in this episode. Its name is in both Yusei's and Jack's cards. Jack reveals his attitude that he considers friendship a mere burden, a shackle, or a chain that pulls people down together. People can be a higher living by throwing a shackle away. He suggests Yusei throw away Sect on his back so that Yusei can duel better. Sect represents a burden or a chain on Yusei in this case.
